During the 1998/99, 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 Seasons, EST will be presenting this new series, sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. First Light features new works drawn from the worlds of science and technology, commissioned by EST. Each year the series will premiere a mainstage production as well as readings of full-length works and short plays.

  • March 27th "Creating Copenhagen"
    Playwright Michael Frayn and director Michael Blakemore will discuss their award winning Broadway bound production of "Copenhagen" in a day-long series of events and symposia examing the scientific, historical and theatrical perspecitves of the acclaimed London play about scientists Werner Heisenberg and Neils Bohr.
